How to Purchase Items From Our Store

Our store is equipped with a full-featured, secure and easy-to-use shopping cart system which makes purchasing items with us a breeze. To purchase an item, simply select it and it will be added to your shopping cart. If you change your mind and decide that you do not want an item, click on your cart and then remove the unwanted merchandise. When you're all done shopping, your shopping cart will walk you through the checkout process where you will also be given the opportunity to pick your shipping method and method of payment.


Payments Accepted

At this time we accept all the major credit & debit cards, funds transfers and echecks through the secure payment processor Paypal. 

We also accept mailed in USPS (United States Postal Service) Money Orders. We are happy to hold your order for 10 days to wait for your payment.

Shipping and Handling

We ship all orders through USPS to United States and International destinations. Our shopping cart is tied into USPS weight and zone charts, so we are able to offer realistic shipping rates. There is a $1.00 fee added into your S&H total to cover our packing materials expenses. You can see an estimate of your S&H fees at any time through your shopping cart. A final total will be given when you check out. *please see update below.

Update:  3/25/08 Important shipping information

This past month, we have been absorbing quite a few shipping expenses on multiple item orders which weigh more than a few pounds.  Meaning, the S&H quote that our customers are given by the automated shopping cart...is very short of what it actually costs us to send out the package.  Accuracy for mutliple purchases goes out the window. In a nutshell, we have been losing money....sometimes, quite a bit. 

Because of this and from this date forward, if we find that there is a large difference (more than a few dollars) between what you are charged for shipping and what it is actually going to cost us...we will invoice you for the difference before we ship your package.  You will have the option of paying this difference or cancelling your order. 

Rarely, the calculator gets greedy and over-charges! Yes, it is fickle.  When this happens though, we do not keep your extra money.  We are happy to provide you with extra products or refund the difference...your choice!

We know that this can be a bit inconvenient...but, we know that most of our customers will understand.

We offer a variety of shipping methods from which to choose:

  • Parcel Post - reasonable shipping for heavier weight shipments. It may take several days to a few weeks to arrive depending upon your location and the season. Rarely, during high volume seasons, I've seen packages take a month to get where they are supposed to go.
  • Priority Mail - Fast shipping, for light and mid-weight packages...or for anyone who wants their merchandise quickly and doesn't care how much it costs!
  • USPS Global Express
  • USPS International Priority Mail-Flat Rate
  • USPS Air International (for packages weighing up to 4 lbs. Weights over this will have to ship by a different method.)

Delivery confirmation is placed on ALL packages where allowable. (This service is not available to international customers.)

Wicked Varmint Designs is a fast shipper!  We ship every day of the week except for holidays and weekends. Orders are package up and sent out within 24 hours of receipt of payment or clearance of funds. Most of the time, orders placed by noon are shipped out the same day.

NOTE:  Update 1/26/08  If any packages should be returned to us as unclaimed or undeliverable, we require additional postage in order to reship. If you choose to take a refund instead, the refund amount will not include the S&H that you originally paid. So, make sure there will be someone at the destination point to accept or pick up the package...especially gift recipients!


Insurance

We thought that this was important enough to have it's own area of mention. Insurance is optional, but we are unable to remit refunds for damaged merchandise without it.

We have never had a problem with lost or damaged merchandise.  We believe that this is because we go above and beyond what is necessary in our packaging. We don't cut corners when wrapping things up...the more padding and bubble-wrap...the better. We don't smoosh things tightly into a box (a pet peave of mine). We're good. We do realize however, that there may come a time that something we ship out may get damaged or lost somewhere out there. Please cover your purchases as you feel appropriate.

Unfortunately, we are unable to insure international packages.


Return and Refund Policy 

We understand that sometimes what you order through a catalogue or online may turn out to be something you don’t like. We may think that thing-a-ma-bob is super-awesome...you may not. Beauty is after all, in the eye of the beholder. Whatever your reason...it’s ok! In most cases, you don’t have to keep it! There are a few exceptions to this rule, but not many (see list below.)

You may return your unused merchandise for a refund for up to 15 days of receiving it, as long as it is returned to us in it’s original, sellable condition.

Original and return shipping are not refundable or reimbursable...UNLESS your return is because we messed up your order! In that case, please contact us immediately before returning anything...we may be able to adjust things from here.  If you do indeed decide to do a return, please make sure you package your returning merchandise very well. It may be a good idea to protect it with insurance coverage.

There are no hoops to jump through, and complicated steps to follow that cause your forehead to wrinkle up and your eyes to get all squinty...just return your merchandise in it’s original condition...and if you can, include a copy of the packing slip that you received with your shipment. After all, we have to know who to refund the money to!

Why don’t we refund original and return S&H fees?

Well, this is because we have already spent your original S&H fees to get your merchandise to you. To reimburse you for this on a return would mean we’d be losing money through no fault of our own. The same reasoning applies to the return S&H. To do otherwise...it really wouldn’t be fair to us.

Refunds will be issued within 10 working days (usually MUCH sooner) of receipt of your merchandise. Refunds are issued in the manner that you originally paid us. Make sure you have a valid email address and/or phone number with us so that we can notify you that we received your merchandise and when to expect your refund.


We do not accept returns or issue refunds for the following items:

Books, Magazines
Custom Artwork, Commissions
Herbs
Oils
Items that have been used
Items with their packages opened, torn, etc.



Damaged Merchandise:

It is very unlikely that your merchandise would show up broken or damaged because we package ALL merchandise VERY well. My family fondly refers to me as the Bubble-wrap Queen. But, things happen and it’s possible.  Though insurance is optional, we highly recommend that you purchase it. We cannot accept returns and issue refunds unless you have purchased insurance coverage.

IMPORTANT: If you've purchased insurance and receive a damaged shipment...you must save all of the shipping materials (box, packing, merchandise and etc.) and then contact me ASAP!

Remember:

Every order we send out has a free thank you gift or sample merchandise. That is yours to keep....so don’t send that back with the rest of your returning merchandise!

International Customers

As of July 19, 2008, our store is equipped to process international orders! Yay! We have gone global!

We apologize to all of our dear international friends and customers for any inconvenciences experienced up until this point.  We are thrilled that you may finally shop with us easily and conveniently!  Our store's calculator is tied into USPS (United States Postal Service) so shipping quotes are (mostly) accurate and in real-time.  If we find that you've been grossly overcharged, we will refund the excess back to you. :)

Please note: First Class Air shipping is only available for packages weighing up to 4 lbs.  Packages weighing more than this will need to ship via a different method, and it will be more costly.  Sometimes our store's calculator may catch this crossing of the weight limit...sometimes, it won't.  We will contact you if we are unable to send your package via the method you've chosen with alternative choices and cost quotes. If we're unable to find a method acceptable to you, you may cancel your order and request a FULL refund which will be promptly issued. 

**International Customers understand that they are responsible for all taxes, duties, custom's and/ or other fees that their country may assess upon their package.  As a business entity operating from within the United States, we cannot legally mark your package's paperwork as "gift."
